Last-Minute Summer Travel? Here's How Fast You Can Book a Cat Sitter in Manhattan

cat sitter in Manhattan summer travel

New York City seasons have a way of sneaking up on you. One day you're strolling in your trench coat, the next you're sweating in your slip dress and eating ice cream over the random honks of yellow cabs, thinking: "there must be a better way to spend this summer!".

I feel you. Each year I ask myself the same question: why haven't I planned for going away in July and August? And then I remember... It is by design, because that's the part of the year I get to spend with my beloved feline clients. But for you, dear Manhattan cat parent, summer should most definitely be an out to unwind, explore and reset. I don't like crowds anyway, so while you're finding yourself booking a flight for next Thursday and frantically wondering who's going to look after your royal highness while you're gone - I'm here to scratch, play, feed and hydrate.

So the good news is, Cat Parent: you don't need weeks of advance notice to make sure your cat is well cared for this summer.

How fast can you actually book?

Text me directly at 848-298-5687, and in 90% cases I can confirm availability the same day. No long intake forms — just a quick text conversation about your cat's routine, your travel dates, and what kind of care fits best. We schedule a meet&greet at your earliest convenience.

What I offer, even on short notice:

  • Drop-in visits ($45/hour) — perfect for a quick weekend trip. Feeding, fresh water, litter, playtime, and a daily photos or videos update so you can see your cat's doing great.

  • Overnight stays ($75/night) — for longer trips, or for cats who do better with company in the apartment overnight rather than just a daily visit. Here the availbity is limited but I'll do my best to accommodate

I'm experienced with senior cats, anxious cats, and basic medication administration — so if your cat needs a little extra patience or a daily pill, that's not a reason to skip your trip.

Why book a sitter instead of boarding this summer

The truth is you enjoy a hotel or an Airbnb for your summer stay because it gives your brain an extra boost of dopamine from experiencing new environment and breaking the routine of working schedule. Your cat has precisely opposite experience when they are taken away from what they know, especially without you being by their side. A car ride, a new environment, other animals, and a break in routine — all things that can genuinely stress out a cat, especially during the already-disruptive summer travel season. A sitter means your cat stays in their own space, on their own schedule, surrounded by their own smells and collection of mugs to throw off the kitchen counter. For most cats, that's simply less traumatic — and even more so for cats who are already anxious or set in their routine.

Where I'm currently taking summer bookings

I live in Manhattan and work with cats based in: Upper East Side, Upper West Side, East Village, SoHo, Nolita, West Village, Tribeca, and Chelsea.

A quick note on summer specifically

July and August get busy fast — both for me and, I imagine, for your travel plans. If you already know your dates, even loosely, reaching out as soon as possible to guarantee availability, especially for overnight stays.

Your cat's summer should look like sunbathing, watching "bird TV" (live or on a screen) and not sitting in a crate or nervously scratching and marking your sofa from stress. Let's make the time you're away, as calm and enriching as possible.

Text me at 848-298-5687 whenever you're ready.
